Our Newest Addition!!! I am so sorry that I have not posted until now. Some how in between feedings, diaper changes and visitors I haven't had a chance to update our blog. With out waiting any longer Kathryn Ross arrived on Wednesday February 18, 2009 at 8:16 pm. She weighed 7lbs 10 oz and 19 1/2 inches long. She is perfect. She was ready to enter the world in a hurry. After Seth got home on Wednesday, I decided to call the doctor because my contractions were 10 minutes apart and bringing tears to my eyes. On the way to the hospital we heard all of the tornado sirens going off. Of Course she would enter the world during the biggest storm of the year.
We got to the hospital just before it started to hail. We were escorted in by my doctor who pulled us off the elevator to go through the doctors entrance. Everyone was out in the hallways due to the storm. When I initially got checked I was dilated to a 6 and they called the anesthesiologist quick. Just prior to receiving my epidural the power went off and the emergency generator came on. About 20 minutes after receiving the epidural the nurse checked me and I was at an 8, READY TO PUSH she said. We were shocked. After 25 minutes of pushing our precious angel entered the world.
