Our sweet angel is 6 weeks old!

Sweetest hands in the world. We don't know where she got those long fingers from.

Kathryn Ross is 6 weeks old. Time flies. I am enjoying my time with her and I am dreading going back to work at the end of this month. Since our last post we had our doctor's appointment in Atlanta at Egleston. We are relieved to say that everything is fine, the spinal cord ends where it is supposed to and there is no concern for infection or problems with the small sinus/hole above her bottom cheeks. Also I took her to the doctor on Monday due to some congestion and coughing and she now weighs 8 lbs 2 oz. The doctor would like her to weigh around 2 lbs more at 2 months that she did at birth. This means that she should weigh around 9 lbs. 10 oz in 2 weeks. I have continued to nurse Kathryn Ross but we are also supplementing a little bit of formula to help plump her up a little bit. Her personality is definatley starting to shine through. She loves to smile and when she smiles her whole face gets involved, even her eyebrows. Also she is talking a lot more. If only we knew what she was thinking. One of her favorite things to do is lie in her crib and watch her mobile. Her favorite is the butterfly and she will follow it around and around. She also has her favorite song that it plays and she will let you know if it is not playing. I know that this probably sounds crazy but she snorts. When she is hungry or upset she cries and snorts. I am going to have to catch it on video so that all can hear. It is so sad when she cries but it is also amusing with the snorting. She loves to get kisses from Cooper (our black lab) and just stare at him. We also had our first night away from home so that Mommy could go out with the girls. She was so good for Daddy she slept in her pack and play for 5 1/2 hours. If she keeps up that kind of sleeping we can move her into her big girl crib soon. Another exciting event this past weekend is that she finally got to meet her friend Mason, they are only 2 weeks apart.
